Facts:
Number of homes: 20 homes - 11 two bedroom
houses, 3 three bedroom houses and 6 one bedroom flats.
The site: Previously part of Lees Road
School. Willesborough Lees is just over two miles outside Ashford, just
off junction 10 of the M20.
The Scheme: The houses were manufactured
off-site by KarlsonHus in Sweden, using a large, closed panel system.
The panels are highly insulated and ecologically sound.
Features: The scheme provides a high quality
living environment and the ecological performance of the homes, which
results in low cost utilities to residents.

Project Corners Close Ashford

is proud to have delivered the houses for Project Corners Close, Ashford.
The site was previously part of Lees Road School and was predominantly
school playing fields. Willesborough Lees is adjacent to a timber windmill
that is owned by Ashford Council but is operated by the Willesborough
Windmill Trust.
The construction of the houses are made according to
Swedish demands and tradition while the deign blends well in with their
location next to the Windmill.
The houses were made off-site in Sweden by KarlsonHus,
using a large, closed panel
system
incorporating doors and windows with all the plumbing and wiring integrated
within the walls. The panels are highly insulated and ecologically sound.
The homes have hand made kitchen and pre-made bathroom
and toilets pods, triple glazing and solid timber floors. The homed are
designed to reduce allergenst, therefore they have no carpets but have a
ventilation/heating system of 100% filtered air witch filters out pollens
and other air carried elements. As a result of the heat recovery system the
heating bills should be much lower than otherwise. Links
